Take a look at the video clip of the sale pigs.
A blog dedicated to our farm in Randolph, Minnesota which is located in Southern Dakota County. We raise Purebred Shorthorn, Red Angus and Simmental cattle that are for sale at all times specializing in breeding stock and some club calves. Tiana exhibits show pigs in the summer. We also offer locker beef and pork... check out the natrual beef and pork link to learn more about that program.

2011 Showpigs for Sale
Take a look at these Ladies. They are weighing in that 60-70 pound range and are both out of early Feb. litters. I know they are the last ones we have, I think the quality ran really deep. Click the boar's name in the previous post to take a look at them.

Bred females continued...
We have calved in most of the bred heifers with only TLF Audry and BSF Springtime 936w remaining. The calves from the heifers and our older cows look great. We are very excited to get them turned out on grass and get some pics posted of the new babies.
Show pig season
Show Pig Offering...
We are very excited about this year's crop of show pigs. Thanks to the purchase of a couple of bred females we were able to wean off two litters. We have had some traffic and have sold all of the barrows but have several gilts available. The pigs are sired by Hot Shot a cross boar with a tremendous amount of power out of a pure Yorkshire sow and Ice Age who is a massive York boar times a belted sow. The boars are housed at Genetic Edge in Ohio and click on the boar's name to see a photo. The remaining pigs are first come first serve so feel free to call or e-mail me.
Other news
We did have some misfortune with our Cain bred boar learning that he looked like a sound breeder but in the end he must have had semen quality issues and was unable to sire any pigs so we ended up culling him from the herd. We do have a replacement herdboar who I call "Spuds" as he is a blue butt with gray over one eye. Look for show pigs next spring and a photo later this spring.
We are also in the process of breeding our york gilts for summer litters. The belted sow we farrowed in February was bred to a Hamp boar from North Iowa Boar Stud, Thanks Bill.
Take care everyone and good luck getting pigs.
